The website designing market is flooded with an overwhelming amount of choices today. Choosing the right designer to create your online presence is not any easy decision. There are many different skill levels along with varied opinions on what justifies a good website. The goal is to show you why choosing interActive Design will make your decision easier.

  Think for a moment ...
You wouldn't go to a vet if you were sick. Well that's exactly what happens when you allow just anyone to create your professional image that will be seen by countless millions around the world. Not everyone that claims to be a website designer actually understands all that is involved. If you have used the internet for any amount of time, take notice at how many websites end up having an unwanted scrollbar at the bottom of the page. The designer did not plan for this to happen, but they also didn't compensate so it wouldn't, thus forcing the user to scroll just enough to be annoying. This is a result of someone not understanding web page layout. Designing a website involves alot more than just putting images and text on a page.
Let's talk Flash® for a moment. You sit and wait for a presentation to load and the result is "click here to enter". What is the point of all the dazzle to get a simple entry link?

Knowing how to write code has advantages.
It is important that our websites are hand coded in a text editor, like notepad. Many designers choose to use a click and drag program, known as a WYSIWYG [ What You See Is What You Get ], to build a website. Using a WYSIWYG program does have drawbacks. One drawback is, it tends to overinflate and add unwanted, unnecessary things to the code. Look here to see what we mean. By overloading the code, a file that is larger in size is produced. Not only that, but it's not clear code for editing. Understanding how to write code is also quite useful to interpret and adjust script elements. Selecting a designer that knows how to write code versus one that uses a click and drag program should be a factor in your decision.

  Make it function.
First we check the final product to ensure that it looks and performs its best before it ever goes online. Then rechecking again once it is uploaded. The second step is often overlooked by many designers. Did they check how it looked on different screen sizes? Links are broken, resulting in a "File not found page". Images that don't load because they aren't linked correctly or weren't uploaded. Unidentified classes not registered. These errors could have been cleared up if the pages were thoroughly tested.

  Let's talk size.
Screen resolutions have changed to a wider format. I've noticed that most designers today are creating websites that utilize only the center of the screen. Why are they wasting so much of the viewing area and forcing longer scrolls. This is because they just don't understand and they are using a WYSIWYG program. Real talent here. InterActive websites expand and collapse to accommodate different screen resolutions.
Text sizing is another matter to take into consideration. With the larger resolution formats, the text that was small, is absolutely tiny now. Think for a moment ... it is much harder to read and causes eye strain on visitors. Not everyone is going to stick around and strain their eyes. Even trying to adjust the text size in your browser doesn't seem to work, because the designer has mandated the text size.

Another thing to consider are text links. Sure the underline doesn't look so great, but the purpose outweighs the appearance. Forcing someone to guess if something is a link is plain ignorance. There are people who are colored blind and may not see the difference, unless it is used as a menu.

  Make it creative.
Designing websites that look different is easy. Designing them to be different requires creativity.
InterActive Design does not use a template for one website then change a few images, text and color for another customer and then call it new. Why settle for what already has been done, when you don't have to?
We also custom design logos and incorporate them into more than just websites. Use them in our other promotional media creations such as stationery, brochures, billing statements, business cards and interActive compact discs.

  The point is ...
Designing promotional media isn't something we do for a hobby. It's our business and we take it very seriously. We have spent over a decade researching and attending classes to get relevant information regarding our career in website designing. Realizing that many people don't have as much time to devote towards this as we already have, is our reason for being here. Browse around. There are plenty of examples here that show our skills.
Your choice for a designer has just become easier.
